As arduous as they are, proofreading and editing are the necessary evils that separate your written documents from the rest. Regardless of how well you write, the meaning you're trying to convey may be diluted or lost entirely if your work is not properly edited and proofread.

Second Chances
Second Chances tells the story of a true love lost to the ravages of cancer, leaving 35-year old Chase McCormick alone to care for his four-year old daughter. He seeks help from newly divorced and newly independent Anna Devereaux who sees this as an opportunity to escape her own childhood nightmares and perhaps become part of a real and loving family. Anna's troubles date back to her own mother's murder when Anna was just a child. Now, twenty-five years later, Anna herself is the target and she and Chase work together to keep her safe as well as solve the mystery behind who is trying to kill her. Their investigation takes them back a quarter of a century, and nothing can prepare them for the links that they discover between their families. And the links all lead to murder. Both Chase and Anna must make a decision of whether or not the danger is worth seizing this second chance at love. See my website Cindy Troy. My book is also availble at Barnes and Noble and Powell's Books.
Romance literature is my love - no pun intended. I've been an avid reader for as long as I can remember and have been writing for several years. As a secondary and collegiate English teacher, I appreciate almost any type of writing, but this genre is my favorite, and I'm honored to have the opportunity to contribute to it.
I have been an English teacher since 1995 and cannot imagine myself doing anything else -- unless, of course, it's writing novels all day.
I spent the first 33 years of my life in Arizona, but recently made a leap of faith as my husband, daughters, and I packed up everything and left our family and friends behind to move to northwestern Kentucky. We have certainly been blessed in that decision as we have found a new and loving community in which to raise our two beautiful girls.
Another leap of faith encouraged me to begin my own editing business www.editedwrite.com where I am able to put my years of proofreading and editing experience in the classroom into a new and profitable environment. While teaching is my career, I certainly enjoy writing in every spare moment I can find. And I hope you enjoy reading what I have written.
Ideas for new books are forming every day. In fact, my second novel is well under way.
